Dr. Amy Ajax Crigler Dr. Crigler received her Doctor of Optometry Degree from southern College of Optometry in 1980. While at Southern College of optometry, she was inducted into Beta Sigma kappa honor Fraternity. She was named Mississippi Optometrist of the Year in 2004. Her memberships include the American Optometric Association, Mississippi Optometric Association and the Northeast Optometric Society. She has served as chairperson of the State Legislative Committee, state chairperson of Vision USA Program, and chair of Optometry for Progress. Having served on the executive committee of the Mississippi Optometric Association for five years, she was elected president of the Mississippi Optometric Association in 2006-2007. She currently serves as Mississippi trustee for the Southern Council of Optometrists, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Eyecare Alliance. Dr. Crigler is a member of the Starkville Greater Development Partnership, Delta Gamma Alumnae, and First United Methodist Church where she has served as a member of the Administrative Board, the Staff/Parrish committee, and the Finance committee. She and her husband, Sid, have two children, Carley and Coleman. Dr. Crigler enjoys following Mississippi State University Athletics where she serves as Optometric Physician and advisor. |

Dr. Sarah Barnes Fratesi Originally from Jackson, TN, Dr. Fratesi joined Crigler Family Vision Center in June of 2003. Dr. Fratesi received her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Mississippi State University in 1999. While attending MSU, Dr. Fratesi was a member of the Delta Gamma fraternity serving as Director of Sponsorship, and she also received the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal Research Award in 1999. Following graduation she pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. As a student at SCO, she served as Treasurer for the class of 2003 for four years, and was also a member of the Student Government Association. She was selected from a group of candidates nationwide to receive the Minnie F. Turner Low Vision Research Award in 2002. Upon graduation, she was nominated by SCO faculty to be included in the 2002-2003 Who's Who Among American College Students. Her memberships include American Optometric Association, Mississippi Optometric Association serving as InfantSee Committe Chair, Northeast Optometric Society, and Starkville Young Professionals. Currently Dr. Fratesi serves as the Communications Adviser for the Delta Gamma chapter at MSU, and is active in the Rotary Club of Starkville serving as the Awards Committee Chairman. She and her husband, Joe, are members of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and are proud new parents. Joseph Natale Fratesi, Jr, "Nate" was born in September of 2008 and Caleb Walter Fratesi born in April of 2010. |

Melissa Caithaml Jordan
Certified Ophthalmic Technician
Melissa has been an vital part of our staff since 2002. A 20 year veteran of the opthalmic field, she serves as the primary technician for CFVC. She is a Certified Opthalmic Technician and is our Lasik and cataract surgery coordinator.

Tabitha Hunt Stewart
Office Manager and Optician
Tabitha joined CFVC in January of 2009 and is the Office Manager as well as dispensing optician for our office. She has over 5 years of experience in the optometric field, is a Certified Paraoptometric, and Tabitha also serves as the Vision Source Representative for CFVC.

Libby Pierce
Receptionist
Libby joined CFVC in March of 2009, and is the receptionist for our office. She is originally from West Point, and has 2 sons, Chris and Kale.

Nancy Simmons
Business and Insurance Clerk
Nancy joined our staff in May of 2008. She manages the insurance department and business office. Nancy has worked in the optometric field for over 18 years, since graduating from college. She is married to the Reverend Patrick Simmons, and they have 4 wonderful children, Wendell, Krystal, Patrice, and Emly.
